For almost 40 years, C.A. has led and developed airlines, air services, contract aviation set-up and administration and dealt with all aspects of purchasing, leasing and registering aircraft, worldwide. His specialty is in areas of the world where others have no experience or simply are unwilling to go. A few of the countries, among many more worldwide, where he's guided or been involved with numerous successful aviation projects are Somalia, South Sudan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Haiti, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Islands, Jamaica, Tanzania, Zanzibar, South Africa and the United States.
C.A.’s work with air service start-ups typically involves business planning, the creation of extensive financial models and assistance with raising start-up capital… such as a large multi-aircraft start-up in Africa that he’s involved with on an ongoing basis. This particular client is introducing an entirely new type of aircraft in African commercial aviation operations and C.A. has been responsible for developing all the financial modeling for the project and a large part of its business planning and capital raise.
He has extensive regulatory experience in numerous countries and has successfully solved regulatory and Civil Aviation Authority problems ranging from the unlawful stoppage of aircraft in Somalia to the liberation of an aircraft crew in the Dominican Republic, the implementation of scheduled air services in several different Caribbean nations, and the registration of US aircraft to non-US Citizens through the creation and management of FAA approved Aircraft Voting Trusts. He has also represented numerous clients with the Florida Department of Revenue in matters of unfair aircraft taxation, where he has obtained favorable actions resulting in multimillion dollar tax savings to these clients. He also was the primary author of the winning bid for a USAID contract in excess of $500 million and has authored several other successful bids for highly lucrative governmental contracts.
Having resided in Africa twice (Nigeria and Uganda), he is well-versed in overcoming the challenges that are faced by an aviation practitioner in many developing nations and has been a key presenter at numerous international aviation conferences in countries such as Aruba, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia and the United States.
In addition to his work with Premium Aviation, C.A. is a non-attorney, adjunct member of a prestigious law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he assists in all matters of aviation litigation and is a key member of the team developing the firm’s aviation litigation practice.
